 Interdisciplinary Dialogues and Lectures

Reading Groups, Interdisciplinary Dialogues and Lectures

In 2026, HERPAGE began researching and documenting women from the past, bringing renewed attention to names, schools, organizations, and movements that have gradually disappeared from public memory.

The project looks at subjects such as women’s schools in Republican era China, early women’s movements, and the lives and experiences of the women involved. Through historical newspapers, local records, school archives, photographs, articles, and biographical materials, fragmented information is verified, organized, and retold.

These materials are gradually being developed into a digital archive designed for long term reading and research. The archive includes profiles of individual women, records of women’s schools and organizations, thematic essays, and historical timelines, which are continuously published through the project website, social media, and other digital platforms. By making these materials accessible, HERPAGE seeks to reconnect individual stories with the broader history from which they have often been excluded.

Alongside its historical research, HERPAGE also seeks out and interviews women of different ages and professions today.

These conversations document the issues women continue to encounter and consider how certain difficulties may be connected to ideas inherited from earlier social structures, as well as how those ideas continue to affect later generations. By bringing historical materials into conversation with contemporary experiences, HERPAGE hopes to make women of the past visible again while creating possibilities for women today to find understanding, connection, and ways to act through these records.

Art Therapy Workshops

Through painting, sculpture, theatre, and other forms of artistic practice, the workshops create spaces for emotional expression. Participants are encouraged to explore personal experiences and emotions through creative processes. Art becomes a medium for communication, reflection, and connection.

Exhibitions and Film Screenings

Exhibitions and screenings present works by women artists and creators. Through different artistic perspectives and forms of visual storytelling, the program creates greater space for women’s experiences and voices to be seen and heard. It also encourages dialogue between artists, audiences, and the wider community.

Charity Sales and Community Co Creation

Through charity sales, community art programs, and participatory creative projects, art becomes part of everyday life. By connecting artists, local residents, and nonprofit organizations, these initiatives create opportunities to collectively engage with social issues. Through this process, artistic practice becomes a way to foster both cultural value and public care.
