Plastic has a huge impact on our world. Some plastics are buried

underground or collect in deep oceans and cannot be completely broken

down. When it is forced to be eaten by microorganisms at the bottom, it

circulates through the food chain. It’s hard to imagine what our world will look

like in tens of millions of years.

This project aims to reimagine how ocean microplastic waste is cleaned

up and transform it into a symbiotic system of degradable materials. This

system is composed of artificial bionic organisms.
